"What sets us apart is the way we communicate with each other," said Adam Rowe, owner of St. George's Design. "Most web design and a lot of marketing companies are big, so you're going to be sold by one person. You're going to be met by another person. You're just changing the line."

Rue graduated from the University of Southern Utah in the 1990's with a degree in communications and marketing. After graduation, he returned to his hometown of Los Angeles and worked for a judicial reporting firm where he began designing the web. Rue taught himself how to manage his website.

After working as a marketing director at several other large companies, he moved back to southern Utah and has since used his years of experience in marketing, web and graphic design to serve St. George's design clients.

In 2019, Burkett joined the team as Rue's partner. In addition, Burkett, a graduate of the University of Southern Utah, holds a master's degree in professional communication and spent 20 years working as an award-winning professional photojournalist, reporter and editor before going into marketing.

Rue handles websites and marketing, and Burkett focuses on social media management and advertising, and Google. Clients know the person who is working on their account and who is working on their completion.

St. George's Design was established to provide web design and digital marketing for small, local businesses. They offer an inexpensive way to maintain a business online presence.

"I think websites have become more important than ever," Rue said. "Business cannot be open without a website."

St. George's Design has its own server for hosting customer websites. Clients have access to the backend of their website, and if they make any changes to their website, they can do so whenever they want. However, for those who need a little more help, Rue offers minor changes for free under the "five minute rule".

"I don't want people to be afraid to call me. Like, 'Oh my God, I have to call her, but I have to spend $ 50 or something like that.' I don't want people to ever be afraid to call me with questions about their website, "he said.

Roe said the most significant change he has seen recently is how epidemics have affected business. Before COVID, most companies relied on pedestrian traffic. When things went awry, businesses began to realize that they needed a website.

"We worked with a lot of restaurants and different businesses that didn't have a web presence, and suddenly there was an urgent need for it," he said. "I think Technology has come to the point where you have to have a website to go along with your business.. No matter how big or small you are, your online presence is important so people can find you.

The company's web design options combine custom digital marketing strategies. This combination gives small business owners the freedom to choose the level of service that suits their needs.

St. George's Design is a 'sweet spot' between handing over your digital reputation to a young man who knows his way to SnapChat and a high-value advertising agency that costs you tens of thousands of dollars a month. "Once we handle your online presence, we give you the opportunity to grow your small business and focus on serving our clients," Rue said.

Another thing that sets St. George's Design apart from other web design companies is that the owners are marketing experts.

"I think a lot of website designers are strictly coders. They don't want to talk to you," Rio said. "They don't want to deal with you. They just want to code the website. We have marketing background. So when we look at a website, we look at it with a strict strategy."How do we get people to your door and call you?"

Rue explains that the rules of search engine optimization have changed over the years. "Before the last five to 10 years, people could do a lot of SEO tricks, but things have changed since the days when someone tossed a website up and search engines would find it," he said. And for now, Google has cracked down on SEO tricks.

Rue said it comes down to creating "really good content on your website."

"If you are a plumber in St. George, you have to make sure that the word St. George plumber is on your website," he said. They are selling this special widget in this city and these words are nowhere on their website.
